Mr Frederick Strachan, accountant or the head office of the City Bank of Sydney, died at his residence, Mosman, yesterday. He was the oldest employee of the bank. Forty-four years ago he was secretary to the provisional committee appointed for the formation of the bank. After managing most of the bank’s country branches, he was transferred about five years ago to the head office, where he remained until his death.
